Rexall Specialty’s long term care pharmacies are located across Canada and provide highly specialized clinical and dispensing services for patients in nursing, group, independent and assisted living facilities. We manage complex medication therapies with flexibility, in a sensitive and supporting environment. Working with the nursing staff, physicians, residents and their families, our Pharmacists play a key role in the facility’s healthcare team to ensure that residents are receiving the most appropriate drug therapy.
Bridging the services of retail pharmacy and inpatient hospital services, the Rexall Outpatient Pharmacies operate on a highly specialized clinical level to support a province wide health services program. Their scope of practice includes work with transplant medications, HIV treatment, special access medications, investigational drug studies, home parenteral therapy and pediatrics.
From our Specialized I.V. Pharmacies, we provide home infusion therapy. The program includes antibiotic therapy, TPN, palliative care and pain management. These therapies can now be delivered in the home allowing patients to recover in a comfortable setting while reducing the demands for acute care beds. |
