New concept store offers modern design, pharmacy care excellence and cutting-edge technology

Over the last 100 years our pharmacies have seen the world change, communities grow and services expand; we are continually evolving to not only keep pace but to lead the industry.

The Rexall™ new concept store, a new pharmacy format that integrates modern design, pharmacy care excellence and cutting-edge technology was first launched in 2004 in Edmonton, Alberta.

The new concept is focused on pharmacy and health, reflecting the growing consumer demand for advice and consultation from pharmacists in areas beyond traditional prescription interaction. In many of our newly restructured locations, a private consultation room has been added for longer pharmacist consultations. The dispensary area has also been expanded to provide a more comfortable work environment for pharmacists and the pharmacy counters have been lowered to facilitate pharmacist-patient interaction.

The bright, modern design boasts widened aisles, an expanded production selection for high-demand products such as convenience food items and expanded cosmetics and skin care areas, some of which include leading-edge dermatological centres that feature prestige skin care lines.

Each Pharma Plus pharmacy that has been reformatted into the new design has been re-branded as Rexall Pharma Plus. The Rexall™ brand is the cornerstone in the new concept design as a symbol of the core values of wellness and pharmacy care established over the course of a century.
